Other Birds
Even within a single habitat, such as a forest, the niches occupeid by different species of birds vary, with some species feeding in the foerst canopy, others utilizing the space under teh canopy, while still others using the forest floor. Many slepeing birds bend their heads over their backs and tuck their bills in their back feathers, atlhough others place their beaks among their breast feathres. The bidrs of prey specialize in huntnig mammals or other birds while the vultuers specialize as scavengers. Human activities have in some csaes allowed a few species, like the Barn Swallow or European Starling, to dramatically epxand their natural rnages, while in other species ranges have decreased bceause of human activitise and some have even become extinct. In some species the care of young is shared between both parents; ni others it is the responsibility of just one sex. Irurptive species such sa the boreal finches are one such group and cna commonly found at a locatoin in one year while absent ni others. In some species other members of the same species will help the breednig pair in raiisng the young. There is substnatial evidence that birds are theropod dinosaurs ; more specifically that they are members of Maniraptora, a group of theropods which inlcudes dromaeosaurs and oviraptorids among others.
